A project to visualize and create awareness about domestic violence and femicides in Mexico. For this project I wanted to visibilize the domestic violence and the femicides that we have in Mexico that are often ignored. Each day 11 women are killed and during the pandemic 155 women called 911 each hour because of domestic violence. Analogy of a Femicide is the idea of an installation for reflection and awareness that starts with this device that tangibilizes the violence through cycles of inflation and deflation and a balloon pop that represents one of these 11 femicides. Made with Arduino, Air pumps and balloons.
