THE BUS CONDUCTOR” is a series of multidisciplinary photographs that visualizes bus conductors by using machine and repetition as the core visual metaphor to depict how highly repetitive work can loosen human behavior emotionally and physically. And to conveys as if there is more than one bus conductor providing the service but actually it’s just one bus conductor that performs all of these responsibilities repetitively all alone. A single bus conductor has a range of responsibilities to perform such as collecting fares, making changes, and issuing tickets to hundreds of passengers repetitively a day. These make their repetitive works become relative to a machine work as this job no longer exists in most countries in the world and is done by an electronic machine instead. But because of the fact that this job still exists here, this project aims to empower and raise awareness of their repetitive work and the value of their existence, and question the issue of future replacement as well.

Department of Design, Chulalongkorn University

Politics is something that Thai people usually avoid talking and discussing about, as the topic contains lots of stress, complexity, and is boring for most people. In Thailand it is also considered taboo to talk about politics, therefore the younger generations are not encouraged to discuss or voice their political opinions. But undeniably, our political system also contains lots of irregularities that do not align with democratic values. Politics should be a topic that people can openly share, discuss, exchange perspectives, and care about because it affects us all, either directly or indirectly. Diemocracy is a card game designed to simulate the malfunction and abnormalities of the Thai political system. In which players will be experiencing these irregularities through the system, regulations, and rules of the game. This game aims to show the younger generations the problems within the Thai political system so that they are more aware and attentive about politics.
